✨ Electricity Governance Regulations Amendments
1822
NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE, No. 63
(2) The principal notice is amended by omitting the date on
which the exemption is stated to expire (31 March 2008)
and substituting 31 March 2010.
3. Reasons for amendment—The reasons for this
amendment are as follows:
(a) it has taken longer than could reasonably have been
anticipated at the time for the Commission to review
the appropriateness of the exemption test in Rule 6.6
of Technical Code B of Schedule C3 of Part C of
the Rules and related arrangements; and
(b) it will allow time for the Commission to finalise
a recommendation to the Minister of Energy
(“Minister”) on the appropriateness of the exemption
test in Rule 6.6 of Technical Code B of Schedule C3
of Part C of the Rules; and
(c) if the Commission recommends a rule change
to the Minister, and the Minister accepts that
recommendation, it will allow sufficient time for:
(i) the system operator to make any software
changes required to implement that rule
change; and
(ii) participants wishing to request an exemption
from any new rules to make that request
and allow the Commission time to consider
that request.
Dated at Wellington this 18th day of March 2008.
For and on behalf of the Electricity Commission:
DAVID CAYGILL, Chair.
