1. This is a notice made under section 91AAO(5) of the Tax Administration Act 1994 of a determination made by the Commissioner of Inland Revenue under section 91AAO(1) of that Act.

2. “Determination FDR 2008/04 – Use of fair dividend rate method for a type of attributing interest in a foreign investment fund (Macquarie reFleXion Trust)” was made on 6 March 2008, and will appear in the Inland Revenue Department’s Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 20, No. 3 of April 2008.

3. The determination is also available on the Inland Revenue website (www.ird.govt.nz).

District Courts Act 1947

Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

Barry Ronald Leslie Lovegrove, retired District Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, for a term of one year on and from 16 February 2008.

Sentencing Act 2002

Orders for Confiscation of Motor Vehicles

Pursuant to sections 128 and 129 of the Sentencing Act 2002, orders were made in the Pukekohe District Court on 5 March 2008, for the confiscation of the following motor vehicles:

  Against: Michael Ross Kaaho.

• 1994 BMW 730i, Registration No. ACK257.

  Against: Carl Daniel Clarke.
