Compressed Gas Mixtures (Toxic [6.1], Oxidising [5.1.2], Corrosive) Group Standard (Amendment) Notice 2008

Pursuant to section 96B of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“the Act”), the Environmental Risk Management Authority issues the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—(1) This notice is the Compressed Gas Mixtures (Toxic [6.1], Oxidising [5.1.2], Corrosive) Group Standard (Amendment) Notice 2008 and is part of the principal notice.

    (2) In this notice, “principal notice” means the Compressed Gas Mixtures (Toxic [6.1], Oxidising [5.1.2], Corrosive) Group Standard Notice 2006 (published in the Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 30 June 2006, No. 74, at page 2042).

  2. Commencement—This notice comes into force 28 days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. Amendments to principal notice—Omit Schedule 1, clause 22 of the notice:
    “Exclusion for substances used as a refrigerant”.

Land Transport Rule: Heavy-vehicle Brakes 2.4(2) (Rule 32015)

Notification of Heavy Vehicle Brake Test Requirements at Certificate of Fitness and Entry Certification

Pursuant to Land Transport Rule: Heavy Vehicle Brakes 2.4(2) (Rule 32015), notification is hereby given of the approved methods and conditions of heavy vehicle brake test requirements at certificate of fitness and entry certification.

The Rule requires that brake tests must be carried out, and the test results evaluated, in accordance with the conditions and methods set out in Heavy Vehicle Brake Testing: CoF and Entry Certification Brake Test Protocol and Procedure, Issue 3 and subsequent issues.

This testing comes into force on 1 December 2008, on a regional basis as shown in the map in appendix 5 of the Heavy Vehicle Brake Testing: CoF and Entry Certification Brake Test Protocol and Procedure, Issue 3.

Notice of Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2009)

  1. The Board of Drug Free Sport New Zealand has made the Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2009) (“2009 Rules”) under section 16 of the Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006.
    The 2009 Rules amend the Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2007) in order to give effect to the amendments to the World Anti-Doping Code adopted by the World Anti-Doping Agency and contained in the World Anti-Doping Code 2009.

  2. The 2009 Rules incorporate by reference the following World Anti-Doping Agency International Standards:
