Appointment to the Accounting Standards Review Board

Pursuant to section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government has appointed

as a member of the Accounting Standards Review Board, as established under the Financial Reporting Act 1993, for a term of five years commencing on 15 July 2008 and expiring on 14 July 2013.

Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Notice of Initiation: Review of Anti-dumping Duty Applying to Imports of Hog Bristle Paintbrushes From China

Pursuant to section 14(8) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and acting under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, I have initiated a review of the imposition of anti-dumping duty in respect of the goods described in the Schedule to this notice (“the goods”).

This initiation follows the receipt of an application made by the New Zealand industry providing positive evidence justifying the need for a review.

Anti-dumping duty was first imposed on the goods following a determination made on the 31st day of May 1988, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 2 June 1988, No. 93, page 2228 and amended in final determination notices dated the 2nd day of April 1992, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 9 April 1992, No. 50, page 1055; dated the 29th day of October 1997, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 6 November 1997, No. 158, page 3714; and dated the 22nd day of July 2003, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 31 July 2003, No. 89, page 2280.

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Kelston Intermediate School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1 December 2005, No. 202, page 5113) is hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.
