Road Realignment—State Highway 1,
Rata–Silverhope, Rangitikei District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation
from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert
Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land described
in the First Schedule to this notice to be road which,
pursuant to section 88(2) of the Transit New Zealand Act
1989, becomes road, limited access road and State highway
and shall vest in the Crown;

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the
portion of road adjoining or passing through the land
described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be
stopped and, pursuant to section 120(3), amalgamated with
the land in Computer Freehold Register WN439/219, as
scenic reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977;

(c) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the
portion of road adjoining or passing through the land
described in the Third Schedule to this notice to be stopped
and, pursuant to section 120(3), amalgamated with the land
in Computer Freehold Register WN58B/224, subject to
section 11 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991 and Part IVA of
the Conservation Act 1987;

(d) Pursuant to section 117(3)(a), declares the portion of
stopped government road adjoining or passing through the
land described in the Fourth Schedule to this notice is,
pursuant to section 120(3), amalgamated with the land in
Computer Freehold Register WN58B/224, subject to section
11 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991 and Part IVA of
the Conservation Act 1987;

(e) Pursuant to section 119, declares the land described
in the Fifth Schedule is taken as severance and shall be
amalgamated with the land in Computer Freehold Register
WN58B/224, subject to section 11 of the Crown Minerals
Act 1991 and Part IVA of the Conservation Act 1987;

(f) Pursuant to section 119, declares the land described
in the Sixth Schedule is taken as severance and shall be
amalgamated with the land in Computer Freehold Register
WN439/219 as scenic reserve, subject to the Reserves Act
1977;

(g) Pursuant to section 119, declares the land described
in the Seventh Schedule is taken as severance and shall vest in
the Crown as stopped government road, subject to section

11 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991 and Part IVA of the
Conservation Act 1987;

(h) Pursuant to section 116, declares the portions of road
adjoining or passing through the land described in the
Eighth Schedule to this notice are to be stopped and,
pursuant to section 119, are taken as severance and shall
vest in the Crown as stopped government road, subject to
section 11 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991 and Part IVA of
the Conservation Act 1987
on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand
Gazette.\n
