The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Auckland Normal Intermediate School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 28 April 2005, No. 73, page 1734) is hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.

The Education (Board Fees Reimbursement for Foreign Students) Notice 2007

Pursuant to sections 4D(1) and 4D(3B) of the Education Act 1989, I give the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Education (Board Fees Reimbursement for Foreign Students) Notice 2007.

(2) This notice will come into effect on 1 January 2008.

2. Fees to be reimbursed by boards to the Crown—Every board of trustees of a State school and State integrated school must pay to the Secretary for Education a fee of $900.00 (including GST) in respect of each foreign student enrolled at the school.

3. Formula prescribed for payment to integrated school proprietors—The formula prescribed for determining the portion of the fee paid under clause 2 of this notice, to be paid to the proprietors of an integrated school in accordance with section 4D(3A) of the Education Act 1989, is:

The total amount of the fee payable under clause 2 of this notice for each foreign student enrolled at the school, less the amount determined by the Minister to be attributed to system costs, equals the portion of the fee to be paid to proprietors.

From 1 January 2008, the respective amounts are:

$900.00 – $410.00 = $490.00 (including GST).

4. Revocation—This notice revokes the Education (Board Fees Reimbursement for Foreign Students) Notice 2004.

Amendment to the Rules for Student Enrolment Records and the Rules for ENROL Student Enrolment Records

The Rules for Student Enrolment Records published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 February 1999, No. 21, page 498, as amended by the Amendment to Rules for Student Enrolment Records published in the New Zealand Gazette, 13 July 2006, No. 80, page 2531, and the Rules for ENROL Student Enrolment Records Notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 13 July 2006, No. 80, page 2532, are amended as follows:

● The definitions of “user school” and “non user school” are replaced by the following definitions:

“Non user school” means a school that does not have login access to ENROL.

“User school” means a school that has been provided with login access to ENROL by the Ministry of Education.

Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 13(1)(b) and (2) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 25 August 2006, which was granted under those Regulations to Amalaini Legge (now Amalaini Ligalevu) in respect of Viti Centre Pre-School (10315), situated at 2 Cole Place, Te Atatu South, Auckland.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(ii) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 27 April 2006, which was granted under those Regulations to Michelle Kelly in respect of Washdyke Playcentre (70144), situated at Racecourse Road, Washdyke, Timaru.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
