Pursuant to the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953
Swiss Re Australia Limited (hereinafter called
“the company”) has given notice to Public Trust that it
has ceased to carry on the business of insurance in
New Zealand and that it proposes to withdraw, pursuant
to section 19 of the Act, the deposit which has been made
by it with Public Trust.
Public Trust therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19(3)
of the Act, that being satisfied that all liabilities of the
company in New Zealand in respect of such insurance
business have been fully liquidated or provided for it

Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited
Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of
Granity School (3192)
Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct
the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory
manager for the Granity School Board of Trustees because

of risks to the operation of the school and the welfare of its
staff and students.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are
to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
● All functions, powers and duties of the board as an
employer (whether statutory or otherwise); and
● all functions, powers and duties of the board for property
management (whether statutory or otherwise).
A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on
the following:
● The proper conduct of board elections and induction of
new trustees;
● good governance practice, including proper board
meeting procedures; and
● any other governance matters which may arise during the
intervention.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
