Revocation of Notice of Direction for Appointment

Trustees of Greenmeadows Intermediate
School (1300)

The notice of appointment of a limited statutory manager
for the board of trustees of Greenmeadows Intermediate
School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette,
4 November 2004, No. 143, page 3584, and subsequently
amended in the New Zealand Gazette, 7 July 2005, No. 105,
page 2477, and the New Zealand Gazette, 7 September
2006, No. 105, page 3085) is hereby revoked under section
78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its
publication.

Mackenzie College School (353)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct
the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory
manager for the Mackenzie College Board of Trustees
because of risks to the operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are
to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

● All functions, powers, and duties of the board as an
employer (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on
the following matters:

● Consolidating all new and improved systems into board
management practice.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of
Rangiriri School (1919)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct
the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory
manager for the Rangiriri School Board of Trustees
because of risks to the operation of the school and the
educational performance of its students.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are
to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

● All functions, powers and duties of the board as an
employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
● all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage
financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise);
and
● ensuring areas for improvement identified in the current
and any future Education Review Office reports are
implemented.

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on
consolidating all new and improved systems into board
management practice.

The limited statutory manager will take office immediately
following the term of the current commissioner, on
14 September 2007.

Private Schools Conditional Integration

Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional
Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary
integration agreement has been signed between the Minister
of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting
through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry
of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the
proprietor of the following school:

Mahurangi Christian School, Snells Beach.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed
on 29 May 2007.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is
available for inspection without charge by any member of
the public at the regional office of the Ministry of Education,
Level 3, Eden 5 Building, corner of Edwin Street and
Normanby Road, Mt Eden, Auckland.

Crown Entities Act 2004

Removal From and Reappointment/appointment to

the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority

Pursuant to section 36(1) of the Crown Entities Act 2004,
I remove

Roger Sutton

as member and deputy chair of the Energy Efficiency and
Conservation Authority, effective from 1 June 2007.

Pursuant to section 28(1)(a) of the Crown Entities Act 2004,
I reappoint

Roger Sutton

as member of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation
Authority.

Pursuant to clause 1, Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act
2004, I appoint

Roger Sutton

as chair of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation
Authority.

Both appointments are for terms of three years commencing
from 1 June 2007.
