I hereby give notice that, pursuant to section 91 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, I have approved, for the period 4 July 2007 to 3 July 2012, the code of ethical conduct submitted to me by PharmVet Solutions.

Building Act 2004

Notice of Amendment to Compliance Document F6

Pursuant to section 24(1) of the Building Act 2004, I give notice of an amendment to the compliance document for New Zealand Building Code clause F6 (“Compliance Document F6”).

The amendment to Compliance Document F6 is that the title is amended from “Lighting for Emergency” to “Visibility in Escape Routes” to reflect changes to Code Clause F6.

Compliance Document F6, as amended by this notice, remains in force.

Further amendment is anticipated as consulted on by the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 August 2005, No. 123, page 3007.

The amendment to Compliance Document F6 comes into force on 21 June 2007.

Amended Compliance Document F6 is available for download free of charge from the Department of Building and Housing website at

www.dbh.govt.nz

Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978

Application to Take Marine Mammals

Pursuant to section 5 of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Department of Conservation notifies that the following application was received from the Hokotehi Moriori Trust on 18 May 2007 to:

● hold a pelt from a naturally dead beach cast New Zealand fur seal (Arctocephalus forsteri) for cultural purposes at Hokotehi Moriori Trust Marae.

A copy of the full application can be obtained from the Department of Conservation, Wellington Conservancy, 181 Thorndon Quay, Wellington.

Any person wishing to make a submission on this application can do so by writing to the Conservator, Department of Conservation, Wellington Conservancy, PO Box 5086, Wellington, within 28 days after publication of this notice.

Unless a person making a submission states to the contrary in the submission, that person will be deemed to give his/her consent to the release under the Official Information Act 1982 of all the information in the submission.
