Rose Rock
71°17.48′S Latitude 170°13.4′E Longitude. The inner rock of what was formerly The Sisters (refer Schedule 2 below), located off the northern extremity of Cape Adare, in northern Victoria Land. The Sisters
71°17.4′S Latitude 170°13.2′E Longitude. Formerly two stacks, or pillar rocks, lying close to the northern tip of Cape Adare in northern Victoria Land. One was named Gertrude Rock (see below) which no longer exists, and the other remains Rose Rock (refer Schedule 1 above). Topographic map SR 59-60/13 Cape Adare. Gertrude Rock
71°17.35′S Latitude 170°13.2′E Longitude. Formerly the outermost of the two rocks called The Sisters (refer above), off the northernmost extremity of Cape Adare, in northern Victoria Land. Notice of Intention to Assign or Alter Place Names

Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice is hereby given of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa to assign new place names or alter existing place names, stated in the first column of the Schedule below, to the respective places described in the second column of the said Schedule.

Objection to the proposed new or altered place names may be given in writing, setting out the grounds for objection, to the Secretary of the New Zealand Geographic Board, care of Land Information New Zealand, Private Box 5501, Wellington, within a period of three months from the date of the New Zealand Gazette containing this notice.

North Auckland Land District

Mosig Stream
Stream flowing generally northerly into Waitakere River, topographic map 260-Q11 and Pt R11 Waitakere, source: GR 433 792, confluence: GR 437 805. Spelling alteration from Mosac Stream (replacing previous New Zealand Gazette, 13 July 1989, No. 120, page 3005).

Rangatira Beach
Beach adjacent to Woodhill Forest, extending from Kaipara Harbour entrance down to Muriwai Beach, topographic maps 260-Q09 Kaipara and 260-Q10 Helensville, GR 195 158. Spelling alteration from Rangitira Beach.

Smyth Stream
Stream flowing generally south-westerly from Long Road Track into Anawhata Stream, northern Waitakere Ranges, topographic map 260-Q11 and Pt R11 Waitakere, source: GR 445 765, confluence: GR 436 756. Spelling alteration from Smythe Stream (replacing previous New Zealand Gazette, 13 July 1989, No. 120, page 3005).

Smyth Ridge
Ridge extending generally easterly from above Wahirua Bay to Smyth Corner (proposed), northern Waitakere Ranges, topographic map 260-Q11 and Pt R11 Waitakere, start: GR 397 760, end: GR 441 771. Spelling alteration from Smythe Ridge.

Smyth Corner
Hill at height 337m, located in the northern Waitakere Ranges, topographic map 260-Q11 and Pt R11 Waitakere, GR 441 770. Spelling alteration from Smythe Corner.
