Notice of the Amendment of Exemption No. 42

Pursuant to Regulation 194(5)(d) of the Electricity Governance Regulations 2003 (“Regulations”) the Electricity Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Electricity Governance Regulations (Exemption No. 42 (Contact Energy Limited, Genesis Power Limited, Mighty River Power Limited, Alinta ENZ Limited, and Transpower New Zealand Limited in its Capacity as System Operator)) Exemption Amendment Notice 2007.

   (2) In this notice, the Electricity Governance Regulations (Exemption No. 42 (Contact Energy Limited, Genesis Power Limited, Mighty River Power Limited, Alinta ENZ Limited, and Transpower New Zealand Limited in its Capacity as System Operator)) Exemption Notice 2007* is called the “principal notice”.

   (3) This notice comes into force on the day after the date on which it is notified in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Amendment to principal notice—(1) The principal notice was granted under urgency in reliance on Regulation 194(4) of the Regulations and provides an exemption from the requirement to comply with Rule 7.3.3 of Section III of Part C of the Electricity Governance Rules 2003.

   (2) The principal notice is amended by omitting the date on which the exemption is stated to expire (1 June 2007) and substituting 1 August 2007.

3. Reason for amendment—The reason for this amendment is as follows:

   To extend the expiry date of the exemption to the date when commissioning of Huntly e3p is expected to be completed.

Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001)

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2005/7*

Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways

Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.

Amendments

1. These amendments shall come into force 28 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:

   (a) Replacing line 506 in Schedule 3 to read:

   “Transit NZ Region: 11
   SH No.: 1
   Locality: Amberley
   From (RP): 284/9.35 To (RP): 284/9.72
   Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
   From 400m north of Courage Road to 30m north of Courage Road.
   Speed Restriction (km/h): 50

   (b) Replacing line 508 in Schedule 3 to read:

   “Transit NZ Region: 11

   Locality: Amberley

   From 40m south of Bank Street to 310m south of Bank Street.

   (c) Inserting a new line 508(a) in Schedule 3 to read:

   (e) Deleting line 524 in Schedule 3 of that bylaw.

   (f) Replacing line 541 in Schedule 3 to read:

   Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
   From 80m south-west of Stock Road to 50m north-east of St Leonards Road.

   (g) Deleting line 542 in Schedule 3 of that bylaw.

These bylaw amendments as made by resolution passed at a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on the 7th day of February 2007.
