Identification as specified amendments allows a transitional
supplement to be paid under the Regulations to people who
are financially disadvantaged by the net effect of the
specified amendments that come into force on or before
a specified date set out in the Regulations compared with
their position immediately before that date.

No one is expected to be financially disadvantaged by these
amendments but they are identified as specified amendments
for cases where the assistance under them is taken into
account as income for the purposes of other benefits or
assistance under the Social Security Act 1964.

Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006

Notice of Making of Sports Anti-Doping Rules 2007

Pursuant to sections 21 and 52 of the Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006, notice is given that:

  1. Drug Free Sport New Zealand has made the Sports Anti-Doping Rules 2007 under sections 16 and 52 of the Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006;

  2. the rules incorporate the following material by reference:

    (a) World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List 2007;
    (b) World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions that came into effect on 1 January 2005;
    (c) World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Testing, version 3.0, June 2003;
    (d) World Anti-Doping Agency Guidelines for Blood Sample Collection, version 5.0, January 2006;
    (e) World Anti-Doping Agency Guidelines for Urine Sample Collection, version 4.0, June 2004;
    (f) World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Laboratories, version 4.0, August 2004; and
    (g) Addendum to the World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Laboratories, version 1.0, July 2004.

  3. the rules and material can be inspected free of charge during working hours at Drug Free Sport New Zealand, Auckland University โ€“ Tamaki Campus, Building 701.5, Gate 2A, 200 Morrin Road, Glen Innes, Auckland, or at Sport and Recreation New Zealand, Level 4, 78 Victoria Street, Wellington;
