Notification of Call for Standard Terms Proposals From Telecom for Unbundled Local Loop and Bitstream Services Under the Telecommunications Act 2001
Pursuant to section 30F of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives public notice that it has given two written notices to Telecom Corporation of New Zealand Limited requiring it to submit two separate standard terms proposals in respect of the following designated access services:
(1) Telecom’s unbundled copper local loop network; and
(2) Telecom’s unbundled bitstream access.
According to the notices, Telecom must submit to the Commission a standard terms proposal in respect of the unbundled copper local loop network service by 12 June 2007, and a standard terms proposal in respect of the unbundled bitstream access service by 11 July 2007.

Notification of Clarification (No. 2) of the Determination on the Multi-party Application for Determination of “Local Telephone Number Portability Service” and “Cellular Telephone Number Portability Service” Designated Multinetwork Services
On 31 August 2005, the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) made a determination, under section 39 of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), on the multi-party application for determination of “local telephone number portability service” and “cellular telephone number portability service” designated multinetwork services (“Decision 554”).
On 17 May 2006, Decision 554 was amended by Decision 579.
Pursuant to section 58(2) of the Act, the Commission gives public notice that it has amended Decision 554 for the purposes of making a clarification under section 58(1) of the Act.

Notification of the Commerce Commission’s Final Determination for the Telecommunications Service Obligation Instrument for the Local Residential Telephone Service
On 26 March 2007, the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) released its Final Determination for the Telecommunications Service Obligation (“TSO”) Instrument for Local Residential Service for the period between 1 July 2003 and 30 June 2004.
The Commission, acting pursuant to section 90(a) of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (as amended by the Telecommunications Amendment Act (No 2) 2006) (“the Act”), made the final determination in respect of the matters set out in section 91 of the Act for the TSO instrument for the local residential telephone service.
Pursuant to section 90(b) of the Act, the Commission gives public notice of its final determination.

Notification of Initiation of the Standard Terms Development Process for Telecom’s Unbundled Local Loop Network Co-location Under the Telecommunications Act 2001
Pursuant to section 30D of the Telecommunications Act 2001 as amended (“the Act”), the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives public notice that it has decided, under section 30C of the Act, to initiate the standard terms development process in respect of the designated access service described as “Telecom’s unbundled copper local loop network co-location”.
Under section 30C(1) of the Act, the Commission may, on its own initiative, initiate the standard terms development process for a designated access service.
Under section 30C(2) of the Act, the Commission is satisfied that the applicable condition in relation to the service has been met as a standard terms development process was initiated under subpart 2A of Part 2 in respect of Telecom’s unbundled copper local loop network on 22 February 2007.
