Amendment

1. Title—This amendment is the Defence Force Allowance Amendment 2007.

2. Commencement—This amendment comes into effect on the day after the date on which the Minister approves it, and applies from the date of deployment of any of the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) personnel to whom it applies.

3. Programme amended—This amendment amends the Defence Force Allowance Programme.

4. Amending Schedule—The Schedule is amended by adding the following paragraphs:

“ 76. NZDF personnel deployed in
high risk operations for Operation
LIMA with high environmental
factor

NZ$120.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.

77. NZDF personnel deployed in
    high risk operations for Operation
    LIMA with medium environmental
    factor

NZ$110.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.

78. NZDF personnel deployed in
    high risk operations for Operation
    LIMA with no environmental
    factor

NZ$100.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.

79. NZDF personnel deployed in
    medium risk operations for
    Operation LIMA with high
    environmental factor

NZ$85.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.

80. NZDF personnel deployed in
    medium risk operations for
    Operation LIMA with medium
    environmental factor

NZ$75.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.

81. NZDF personnel deployed in
    medium risk operations for
    Operation LIMA with no
    environmental factor

NZ$65.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.

82. NZDF personnel deployed in
    low risk operations for Operation
    LIMA with high environmental
    factor

NZ$55.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.

83. NZDF personnel deployed in
    low risk operations for Operation
    LIMA with medium environmental
    factor

NZ$45.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.

84. NZDF personnel deployed in
    low risk operations for Operation
    LIMA with no environmental
    factor

NZ$35.00 per day

An amount of or between NZ$12.00 and NZ$54.90 per
day set by the chief executive based on the location of
deployment and the level of cost for that location having
regard to Chapter 6, Annex A of Defence Force Order
No. 5. This allowance is not payable to individuals in
receipt of Mission Subsistence Allowance from the
United Nations.”
