as members of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority Board for three-year terms of office from 1 November 2007 to 31 October 2010; and

Alison McAlpine

as a member of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority Board for a three-year term of office from 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2010.

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Aokautere School (2332)

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Aokautere School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 21 December 2006, No. 174, page 5086) is hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.

Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Te Horo School (1110)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Te Horo School Board of Trustees because of the risks to the educational achievement of the students at the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• ensuring areas for improvement identified in the current and any future Education Review Office reports are implemented.

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

• Consolidating all new and improved systems into board management practice.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
