Notification of Ordinary Rules
In accordance with section 34(2) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notice is hereby given that the Minister for Transport Safety signed the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rules on 20 November 2007 which will come into force on 20 December 2007:
Part 61—Pilot Licences and Ratings, Amendment 8
(CAA Docket 6/CAR/3)
Part 119—Air Operator – Certification, Amendment 10
(CAA Docket 6/CAR/3)
Part 135—Air Operations – Helicopters and Small Aeroplanes, Amendment 17

Environmental Risk Management Authority
Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996
Notice of Approval of a Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Risk Management Authority gives notice that it has approved ISO 11119-1 Part 1 (2002) as a code of practice under the HSNO Act.
This code is a means of compliance with Regulation 10(c) of the Hazardous Substances (Compressed Gases) Regulations 2004.
It sets out amendments to ISO 11119-1 to enable compliance with New Zealand law.
This code can be inspected at the Wellington office of ERMA New Zealand (Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington) and will be available from Luxfer Australia.

Traffic Regulations 1976
Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976
Pursuant to Regulation 90(1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport (“the director”), I, Donald Norman Hutchinson, Manager Vehicles, Land Transport New Zealand, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within Regulation 70(1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.

Vehicle Details
Description: Classic, vintage and veteran left-hand drive vehicles owned by Jim Covert and based at his American Classic Car Museum in Queenstown.
Schedule 2
Conditions
(i) All vehicles covered by this exemption are to be owned by Jim Covert and therefore the exemption only applies while the vehicles belong to Jim Covert.
(ii) The minimum age of vehicles entering the collection is not less than 30 years.
(iii) The minimum value of vehicles entering the collection which were built in 1948 or earlier must not be less than NZ$100,000.00 and the minimum value of vehicles entering the collection which were built after 1948 must not be less than NZ$50,000.00, or as approved on a case-by-case basis by the director.
(iv) The vehicles in this collection are regularly made available for public viewing.
(v) The vehicles may only be used on the road for organised motoring events, travelling to and from an inspection organisation for a warrant of fitness inspection or to a vehicle workshop for maintenance, and occasional trips as required to maintain the
