Change of Classification of Reserve
Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule from a recreation reserve to a local purpose (community buildings) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act.

Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993
Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation
Pursuant to section 338(2) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, the freehold Māori land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a Māori recreation reserve for the common use and benefit of the owners of the said land and their invitees.

Classification and Naming of a Reserve
The Hutt City Council hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto as a recreation reserve for the purposes specified in section 17 of the Reserves Act 1977, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
Further to this, the council declares that the recreation reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, shall hereafter be known as Hikoikoi Reserve.
Both of these notifications are being published following a council resolution dated the 18th day of September 2007.

Wild Animal Control Act 1977
Kaweka Recreational Hunting Area
Pursuant to section 27(3) of the Wild Animal Control Act 1977, the Director-General of Conservation varies the notice forming the Kaweka Recreational Hunting Area dated the 17th day of January 1986 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 23 January 1986, No. 7, page 220, by allowing commercial hunting within the recreational hunting area for the period commencing on and including 1 November 2007 and expiring on and including 31 October 2012.
The director-general also permits for the same time period hunting within all of the recreational hunting area by wild animal recovery hunters under the supervision of the Department of Conservation.
