Recommendation Redefining Purpose for Which a Māori Reservation is Set Apart
Pursuant to section 338 (5) (c) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court,
the purpose for which the Māori freehold land described in
the Schedule hereto was set apart as a Māori reservation
in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 February 1970, No. 9, page
247, is redefined as for the purpose of education, health and
employment as well as a meeting place and burial ground
for the common use and benefit of the members of the
Whānau-a-Tapuiururangi hapū of the Ngāti Porou tribe.
