Industry Training Act 1992

Agriculture Industry Training Organisation Incorporated

Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, an extension of coverage has been granted for the Agriculture Industry Training Organisation Incorporated to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the care, handling and nursing of companion, production and laboratory animals industries with effect from 1 June 2006.

This includes technical veterinary support, para-veterinary, rural animal health technician and activity that is associated with the care, handling and nursing of animals (excluding enterprises whose core business is companion animal retailing).

Pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992, provisional recognition has been granted for the Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drainlaying Industry Training Organisation Limited to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying, concrete roofing, tiling, metal roofing and cladding manufacturing industries.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring the Disposition of Land to be Exempt From Section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987

Under section 24B (4) (b) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that the marginal strip requirements set out in section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987 shall not apply to the disposition to Genesis Power Limited of the land specified in the Schedule.

The land is the Huntly Ash Ponds, an area that is required in connection with electricity works.
