Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996
Notice of Approval of Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79 (5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) advises that it has approved on 31 May 2006, the Code of Practice HSNOCOP 7-1 05-06 Fibre Reinforced Compressed Gas Cylinder to DOT-E 7235.
This code provides a means for Luxfer Gas Cylinders to comply with the regulatory requirements of Regulation 10 (c) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (Compressed Gases) Regulations 2004 in respect of the standard of design for compressed gas cylinders.
This code can be inspected at the office of ERMA New Zealand, Level One, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.

Approval of Brake Testing Device
Pursuant to Regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to sub-clause 4.6 (1) of Land Transport Rule: Light-vehicle Brakes 2002, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport,
I, Laszlo Andras Hidvegi, Principal Vehicle Engineer, hereby approve the brake testing device specified in Schedule 1 of this notice for the purpose of testing brakes according to the requirements of Regulation 68 of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and clause 2.2 of Land Transport Rule: Light-vehicle Brakes 2002, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 2.

Maritime Transport Act 1994
Notification of Permanent Speed Uplifting Under Part 91 of the Maritime Rules
Pursuant to Rule 91.20 of the Maritime Rules, made pursuant to the Maritime Transport Act 1994, I, James Lott, Manager Recreational Boating, hereby grant a permanent uplifting of the speed limit prescribed by Rule 91.6 (a) and (b) on Crooked River, Westland, and its tributaries, subject to the following conditions:
- This uplifting applies only between the hours of sunrise and sunset.
- This uplifting applies only between 1 August and 30 September each year.
