Reserves Act 1977

Declaration That Land is Reserve—Manaia Road,
Tairua, Thames-Coromandel District

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977 and to a delegation from
the Minister of Conservation, the Thames-Coromandel
District Council hereby gives notice that the following
resolution was passed by council on 29 March 2006.

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it
by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the
Thames-Coromandel District Council hereby resolves
that the parcel of land held by Council in fee simple and
described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same
is hereby declared to be, a local purpose (library)
reserve within the meaning of the said Act”.

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act
1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the
Māori freehold land defined on the plan filed on application
and described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a
Māori reservation for the purpose of the protection of native
fauna and flora to be known as Manuka Block, for the
common use and benefit of the descendants of Josephine
Haddon (née Gossage).
