Declaration That Land is Reserve—Part

Matakanohi Reserve, Hamilton City

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from
the Minister of Conservation, the Hamilton City Council
hereby gives notice that the following resolution was passed
by the Hamilton City Council on 1 March 2006:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by
section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Hamilton City
Council resolves that the parcel of land held by Council
in fee simple and described in the Schedule, shall be,
and the same is hereby declared to be, recreation
reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

Change of Classification of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the
West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation
changes the classification of the reserve described in the
Schedule from a three mile recreation reserve to a three mile
local purpose (public utility) reserve, subject to the provisions
of the Act.

Revocation of a Notice Relating to a Reserve and Issue of Fresh Notice

Under section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, and by reason
of an error made in the notice described subsequently, the
Community Relations Manager for the Otago Conservancy
of the Department of Conservation revokes the notice
headed Revocation of the Reservation, dated the 1st day of
February 2006 and published in the New Zealand Gazette,
9 February 2006, No. 12, page 246, and issues the following
notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Revocation of Reservation

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations
Manager for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation revokes the reservation over the land reserved
as a site for a Plunket clinic described in the Schedule.

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act
1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court,
the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto
and as shown on the topographical map attached to
the recommendation is hereby set apart as a Māori
reservation for the purpose of conserving the stand of
Kahikatea trees, for the common use and benefit of the
owners and their descendants.
