Civil Aviation Rules—Notification of Ordinary Rules
In accordance with section 34 (1) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Minister for Transport Safety hereby gives notice of his intention to make ordinary rules for the following Civil Aviation Rules Parts:
Part 125 Air Operations—Medium Aeroplanes,
Appendix B8 Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS)
This Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) NPRM 06-01 Docket 6/CAR/4 proposes amendments to correct specific technical requirements for engine HUMS for single engine instrument flight rules (SEIFR) passenger operations aeroplanes.
The amendment is to correct technical requirements in existing rules.
Note: This NPRM 06-01 Docket 6/CAR/4 is not the Review of SEIFR Passenger Operations HUMS Requirements Docket 4/CAR/7 currently being carried out, the outcome of which will be available for public comment later this year.
Submissions on the proposed rules should be submitted to the Docket Clerk by 17 April 2006 and should include the Docket number 6/CAR/4.

Civil Aviation Rules—Notification of Ordinary Rules

Part 1—Definitions and Abbreviations, Amendment 28 (CAA Docket 4/CAR/1)
Part 67 (Re-issue)—Medical Standards and Certification (CAA Docket 4/CAR/1)

Telecommunications Act 2001
Notification of Draft Determination for Telecommunications Service Obligations for TSO Instrument for Telecommunications Relay Services for the Period Between 15 November 2004 and 30 June 2005
On 20 March 2006, the Commerce Commission ("Commission"), pursuant to section 86 (a) of the Telecommunications Act 2001 ("the Act"), prepared a draft determination of the matters set out in section 88 of the Act for the TSO instrument for telecommunications relay services for the hearing impaired, for the period between 15 November 2004 and 30 June 2005.
Pursuant to section 86 (b) of the Act, the Commission gives public notice of its draft determination.

Decision to Investigate CallPlus Bitstream Application
On 10 March 2006, CallPlus Limited applied, under section 20 of the Telecommunications Act 2001 ("the Act"), for the Commerce Commission to determine terms of supply for access to, and interconnection with, Telecom’s fixed PDN (Public Data Network) ("the application").
Pursuant to section 25 (1) (c) of the Act, the Commerce Commission gives public notice that it has decided, under section 25 of the Act, to investigate the application.
