Conservation Act 1987

Appointment of an Advisory Committee

Under section 56 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby appoints

Te Runanga o Ngāti Tama Trust
the governance entity for the purposes of the Ngāti Tama deed of settlement dated the 20th day of December 2001, to be an advisory committee (the “Ngāti Tama Conservation Advisory Committee”) in accordance with that deed of settlement, to provide advice on matters concerning the management and conservation by the Department of Conservation of indigenous fish and other aquatic life managed by the department on land administered by the department within the area covered by the protocol issued by the Crown through the Minister of Conservation regarding the department’s interaction with Ngāti Tama on specified matters.
