Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation as a local purpose reserve over the land described in the Schedule with the effect that the land is now Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Vesting Reserve in the Whakatane District Council
Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation vests the reserve described in the Schedule in the Whakatane District Council in trust for recreation purposes on the following terms and conditions:
- Whakatane District Council will produce a management plan for the reserve within five years of being appointed as the administering body.
- The management plan must be prepared by the Whakatane District Council in accordance with the requirements of section 41 of the Reserves Act 1977.
- Note that part of the land described as Section 1, SO 355091, is subject to an unregistered lease for a term of 30 years commencing on 1 October 1990 between Her Majesty the Queen, acting by and through the Minister of Conservation, as the lessor and the Ohope International Golf Club Incorporated as the lessee.
- That Whakatane District Council recognises Te Runanga o Ngati Awa are tangata whenua with historical and cultural interests in the reserve and council will consult with Te Runanga o Ngati Awa on all matters relating to the preparation of the management plan for the reserve.

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation authorises the exchange of that part of the scenic reserve described in the First Schedule for the land described in the Second Schedule.
