Electricity Commission

(ECRPT) final report. The four key recommendations of
the ECRPT report were the:

(a) elimination of incumbency;
(b) facilitation and treatment of embedded generation
data processing;
(c) development of a compliance and audit regime; and
(d) grouping of grid exit points (GXPs) for
reconciliation.

  1. The recommended amendments also include additional
    amendments in relation to the processes that retailers
    must follow when a consumer switches retailer.

  2. A copy of the Commission’s recommendation and
    assessment is available, at no cost, on the Commission’s
    web site:

Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection
Act 1996

Appointment of Protection Officer Under the
Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection
Act 1996

Whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime
Transport Act 1994, Maritime New Zealand did delegate
those powers under section 16 of the Submarine Cables and
Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Director of Maritime
New Zealand by an instrument of delegation dated
26 March 1997.

Therefore I, Russell Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime
New Zealand, hereby appoint

John Brent Riddell, of Wellington

as a protection officer for the purposes of the Submarine
Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996.

This notice comes into effect on and from the 9th day of
November 2006.

Exemption From Specified Requirement of Land
Transport Rule: Frontal Impact 2001

Pursuant to section 166 (1) of the Land Transport Act
1998 (“the Act”) and being satisfied on the matters in
section 166 (2) of the Act, and under delegated authority,
I, John Patrick White, Manager Vehicles, Land Transport
New Zealand, exempt each vehicle identified in Schedule I
from the requirement to comply with a version of one of the
approved vehicle standards specified in 2.3 (2) of Land
Transport Rule: Frontal Impact 2001.\n

Vehicle Details

The vehicle is a Toyota Cavalier of model code TJG00
and of model year 1996, 1997 or 1998, this being identified
by the fact that the 10th character of the manufacturer’s
Vehicle Identification Number is respectively T (for 1996),
V (for 1997) or W (for 1998).

Under section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the
New Zealand Fire Service Commission gives the following
notice.

Notice

  1. This notice is the Arapawa Fire Districts Notice, October

  2. This notice comes into force on the day of its publication
    in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous
    fire district notices for the districts listed in the Schedule.

Constitution of Fire Districts

(a) The urban areas listed in the Schedule are constituted
as fire districts.

(b) The boundaries of the fire districts as listed are defined
and delineated on plans held at the National Headquarters,
New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.
