Reappointment to the Transport Accident Investigation Commission

Pursuant to section 5 and clause 1 of the Schedule of the Transport Accident Investigation Commission Act 1990, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand hereby reappoints

as the Chief Commissioner of the Transport Accident Investigation Commission for a term commencing on 16 October 2006 and expiring on 30 September 2008.

Civil Aviation Rules—Notification of Proposal to Make Ordinary Rules

In accordance with section 34 (1) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice of her intention to make the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rules:

CAR Part 21—Certification of Products and Parts

The purpose of this rule making proposal is to amend Civil Aviation Rule Part 21 Certification of Products and Parts Subpart H, Airworthiness Certificate Categories by expanding the special category airworthiness certificate to adequately cover the range of aircraft presently lodged in this category (NPRM 07-03, CAA Docket 5/CAR/2).

Consequential Amendments:

CAR Part 1—Definitions and Interpretations
CAR Part 43—General Aircraft Maintenance Rules
CAR Part 66—Aircraft Maintenance Personnel Licensing
CAR Part 91—General Operating and Flight Rules
