Electricity Regulations (Recognition of APEC Certification Regimes) Notice 2006

Pursuant to Regulation 101 (10) of the Electricity Regulations 1997, I, Graham Boxall, acting under the delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, hereby give public notice that any certification body designated in accordance with Section 20 of Part III – Mutual Recognition of Certification of the “APEC Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Conformity Assessment of Electrical and Electronic Equipment” is recognised for the purposes of Regulation 101 (9).

This notice comes into force on the 1st day of March 2006.

Electricity Regulations (Recognition of Taiwanese Compliance Regimes) Notice 2006

Pursuant to Regulation 101 (10) of the Electricity Regulations 1997, I, Graham Boxall, acting under the delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, hereby give public notice that any designated certification body within the meaning of Paragraph 2 of Part 1 (Definitions) of the “Arrangement between the New Zealand Commerce and Industry Office and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New Zealand in relation to Facilitating Trade in Electrical and Electronic Products” is recognised for the purposes of Regulation 101 (9).

This notice comes into force on the 1st day of March 2006.

Pursuant to sections 159C and 159D of the Education Act 1989 and section 28 of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I appoint

Kaye Turner

as a member and as the deputy chair of the Tertiary Education Commission, the appointment will commence on 1 January 2006 and expire on 31 December 2008;

John Blakey

as a member of the Tertiary Education Commission, the appointment will commence on 1 January 2006 and expire on 31 December 2008;

Tina Olsen-Ratana

as a member of the Tertiary Education Commission, the appointment will commence on 1 January 2006 and expire on 30 June 2007; and

Jim Donovan
Graeme Fraser

as members of the Tertiary Education Commission, the appointments will commence on 1 January 2006 and expire on 31 December 2008.

Revocation of Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Broadwood Area School (6)

The notice of appointment of a limited statutory manager for the Broadwood Area School Board of Trustees (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 5 December 2002, No. 176, page 4419) is hereby revoked under section 78M (7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Amendment of Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Bay of Islands College (8)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 22 December 2005, No. 210, page 5366, regarding the direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Bay of Islands College Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

  • All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage curriculum leadership and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise);

  • all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage communications and relationships within the school and between the school and its community (whether statutory or otherwise);

  • all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage the establishment and operation of satellite classes established by the board at Kawakawa School and at Moerewa School (whether statutory or otherwise);

  • all functions, powers and duties of the board for financial management of the satellite classes established by the board at Kawakawa School and at Moerewa School (whether statutory or otherwise); and

  • all functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer in relation to the satellite classes established by the board at Kawakawa School and at Moerewa School (whether statutory or otherwise).
