Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978

Application to Import, Export and Hold Marine Mammals

Pursuant to section 5 of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Director-General of Conservation notifies that the following application was received from Sara Johanne Kruse Olsvig on 20 January 2006 to:

  • import the following products from Greenland to New Zealand for cultural purposes:
    • seal skin vest (harp seal: Phoca groenlandica);
    • seal skin bag (hooded seal: Cystophora cristata);
    • seal claw earrings (ringed seal: Phoca hispida); and
    • walrus tusk necklace and walrus tusk earrings (Odobenus rosmarus);
  • hold the products listed above while in New Zealand; and
  • export the products listed above to Frederiksberg, Greenland, on departure from New Zealand.\n

Electricity Regulations 1997

Electricity Regulations (Recognition of Singaporean Certification Regimes) Notice 2006

Pursuant to Regulation 101 (10) of the Electricity Regulations 1997, I, Graham Boxall, acting under the delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, hereby give public notice that any certification body designated in accordance with Section 6 of Annex 4.1 (Product Chapter on Electrical and Electronic Equipment) of the "Agreement between New Zealand and Singapore on a Closer Economic Partnership" is recognised for the purposes of Regulation 101 (9).

This notice comes into force on the 1st day of March 2006.

This notice revokes the Notice of Singaporean Certification Regimes Recognised Under Regulation 101 (10) of the Electricity Regulations 1997 in Respect of Approval of Declared Articles dated the 21st day of December 2000 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 January 2001, No. 1, page 50.
