Industry Training Act 1992

New Zealand Extractive Industries Training Organisation Incorporated

Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992,
full recognition is given to the New Zealand Extractive
Industries Training Organisation Incorporated to set
standards on the National Qualification’s Framework at
Levels 1 to 8 for the following industries:
Coal mining (opencast and underground), alluvial pit
(gravel, sand and opencast), quarry and aggregates
(hardrock and opencast), dredging for minerals (civil
works excluded), tunnelling, and drilling (hydrocarbon
and non-hydrocarbon); gas engineering, pipeline
mechanical inspection, gas metering, governor fitting, gas
measuring, appliance servicing, mains and service laying,
leakage surveying, specialist meter reading, plant/process
operations in the exploration/production, hydrocarbon
refining and petrochemical processing sectors of
the petrochemical industry and petrochemical industry
specific skills, geoscientists, engineers (chemical,
civil, electrical, mechanical and process), mechanical
instrumentation and electrical tradespersons, metering
and telemetry technicians, cathodic technicians,
abrasive blasting covering; abrasive blasting, blasting
coating operations and protective coating industry; gas
distribution, reticulation, sales, repair and maintenance,
petrochemical and abrasive blasting industries; and
areas of scrap metal recovery, resource recovery, waste
management (excluding water), recycling and zero waste.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

**Amendments to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2005/7***

Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act
1989 and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting of
Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand
hereby amends the following bylaw.

Amendments

  1. These amendments shall come into force 28 days after
    their publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles
    on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:

(a) Replacing line 13 in Schedule 3 to read:
“Transit NZ Region: 1
SH No.: 1N
At: Springs Flat
From (RP): 245/12.048 To (RP): 245/13.014
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
From 866m north of Great North Road to 100m
south of Great North Road.
Speed Restriction (km/h): 60

(b) Replacing line 14 in Schedule 3 to read:

4 October 2006.
