Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005

Notice of End of Process for Making and Determining Victims’ Claims

Take notice that, pursuant to Part 2, (subpart 2) of the
Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (“the Act”),
compensation awarded to Dion Allan May was paid to
the Secretary for Justice on 25 January 2006, and the
surplus was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account
on 10 March 2006 on behalf of Dion Allan May to enable
any victims of that offender to make claims against it.

And that on 1 July 2006, notice was given by publication
in the daily newspapers in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington
and Christchurch and the Ministry of Justice web site, of the
sum of money paid into the trust account and the entitlement
of victims of the offender to claim against this money and
the manner to do so.

Under section 32 of the Act, the Secretary for Justice has
now paid out all of the money held in the trust account on
behalf of Dion Allan May.
