following the South Island fisheries waters boundary
to a point (41°39.0′S 174°58.0′E), then generally
north to a point on the coastline at Windy Point
(41°24.0′S 174°59.2′E), then generally east along
the coastline to the point of commencement. The
geographical co-ordinates named are in terms of
the WGS84 datum;
(f) "South Island fisheries waters" has the same
meaning as defined in the Fisheries (South Island
Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999.

Nomination of Kaitiaki—Ngāti Hinewaka me ona
Kārangaranga has nominated Gray Carter, Tom Hemi, June
Robinson, Paul Southey, Whakatere Terrence Te Maari,
Whare Gray Te Maari, Haami Te Whaiti and Ross Ward
as the Kaitiaki for managing customary food-gathering
within the area/rohe moana. -
Appointment of Kaitiaki—On 14 September 2006,
the Associate Minister of Fisheries (acting pursuant to a
delegated authority) confirmed, under Regulation 9 (1) of
the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations
1998, the appointment of Gray Carter, Tom Hemi, June
Robinson, Paul Southey, Whakatere Terrence Te Maari,
Whare Gray Te Maari, Haami Te Whaiti and Ross Ward
as the Kaitiaki for managing customary food-gathering
within the area/rohe moana.

Confirmation of tangata whenua—Ngāti Hinewaka
me ona Kārangaranga is confirmed as the tangata whenua
of the area/rohe moana to which the appointment of Kaitiaki
relates. -
Power to authorise the taking of kai moana for
customary food-gathering—The Kaitiaki may authorise
any individual to take kai moana managed under the
Fisheries Act 1996, other than those resources that are taken
in fresh water, for customary food-gathering purposes from
within the whole or any part of the area/rohe moana for
which they have been appointed as a Kaitiaki.

Crown Entities Act 2004
New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000
Appointments to District Health Boards (DHBs)
Pursuant to section 29 (1) (b) of the New Zealand Public
Health and Disability Act 2000 and under section 28 of the
Crown Entities Act 2004, I appoint
Robert Charles Francis
as a member of the board of Wairarapa DHB; and
Ian Victor MacLennan
as a member of the board of Nelson Marlborough DHB;
and under clause 10 (1) of Schedule 3 to the New Zealand
Public Health and Disability Act 2000, I also appoint
Robert Charles Francis
as chair of the board of Wairarapa DHB.
Ian Victor MacLennan’s appointment will take effect on
1 October 2006, while Robert Charles Francis’ appointment
as member and chair will take effect on 28 November 2006.
Both terms will end on 9 December 2007.
