Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (ii) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 20 February 2006, which was granted under those Regulations to Margaret Vere in respect of Lawrence Playcentre (81015), situated at 18B Harrington Street, Lawrence, Otago.

This cancellation also has the effect of cancelling any provisional licence issued to this service.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

Longburn Adventist College, Palmerston North.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on 25 September 2006.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education, 116 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui.

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 4) 2006 (No. F382)

Pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the Programme Manager (Deed of Settlement Implementation Programme) at the Ministry of Fisheries (acting pursuant to a delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1998) hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 4) 2006.

(2) This notice shall come into effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Interpretation—In this notice:

(a) "customary food-gathering" has the same meaning as defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998;

(b) "Kaitiaki" is a local dialect word that has the same meaning as "Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki", as defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998;

(c) "Kaitiaki" means the person or persons appointed under Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 for the management of customary food-gathering within an area/rohe moana;

(d) "kai moana" are local dialect words that have the same meaning as "fisheries resources", as defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998;

(e) "area/rohe moana" means an area described by a line beginning on the coastline three kilometres north-east of the mouth of the Pahaoa River (41°23.1′S 175°45.2′E), then due south to a point
