Declaration That Land is Reserve

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by delegation,
under the Reserves Act 1977, the Nelson City Council
notifies the following resolution passed by the council on
7 April 2005:

“THAT in accordance with Section 14 of the Reserves
Act 1977, the land described hereunder being included
within C T 67564, is hereby declared to be reserve within
the meaning of the said Act, to be held for the purpose
of ‘Local Purpose Reserve’ (Public Amenity and
Conservation).

(ii) Part Section 76, Suburban South District;

(iii) Sections 4, 5 and 6 and part Sections 1, 2 and

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act
1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the
Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose
of a marae for the common use and benefit of the hapu of
Ngāti Mahuta and Ngāti Makirangi and their descendants
and for the owners of the block and their descendants, the
name of the reservation to be Mangatea Māori Reserve.

Recommendation to Redefine the Class of Persons Who May Use and Benefit a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (5) (d) of Te Ture Whenua Māori
Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court,
the class of persons specified in the Māori Reservation
constituted over the Māori freehold land described in the
Schedule hereto be redefined for the common use and
benefit of firstly the whanau of Whakatu and secondly
with the agreement of at least five trustees for the common
use and benefit of the whanau from Waipatu, Ruahapia,
Te Awanga, Haumoana, Kohupatiki and Clive.

All that piece of land situated in Block XII, Heretaunga
Survey District and described as follows:
