Reserves Act 1977

Appointment of the Motu Kaikoura Trust Board to
Control and Manage a Scenic Reserve

Under section 29 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister
of Conservation appoints the Motu Kaikoura Trust Board
to control and manage the reserve described in the
Schedule as a classified scenic reserve for purposes
specified in section 19 (1) (a) of that Act and subject to
the following special conditions:

(a) The reserve is to be available for outdoor/
environmental education for youth in particular and for
provision of facilities to achieve this;

(b) The trust shall submit to the Minister for his approval
a management plan for the reserve within two years after the
date of its appointment; and

(c) The appointment of the trust as the administering
body of the reserve is to be reviewed after seven years.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
Specifying the Manner of Disposal

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations
Manager for the Waikato Conservancy of the Department
of Conservation revokes the reservation as a recreation
reserve over the land described in the Schedule, and declares
that the land may be disposed of in such manner and for
such purposes as the Waikato District Council determines.
