Education Lands Act 1949

Land Declared No Longer Required for Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 5A of the Education Lands Act 1949, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me, I, Paul Dickson Burke, Group Manager Property, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

Notice

  1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.
  2. This notice shall come into force on 28 April 2005.

North Auckland Land District—Kaipara District Council

Schedule

8380 square metres in total being:

(a) 5155 square metres, Block XII, Maungaru Survey District; marked "A" on SO 61399;

(b) 2213 square metres, Block XV, Kaihu Survey District; marked "B", "C", "D", "E", "F" and "G" on SO 63131; and

(c) 1012 square metres, Block XV, Kaihu Survey District; marked "H" on SO 63130.

Local Government Act 2002

Local Government (Dunedin City) Boundary Alteration Notice 2005

Pursuant to clause 5 (1) of Schedule 2 of the Local Government Act 2002, the Minister of Local Government gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Local Government (Dunedin City) Boundary Alteration Notice 2005.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after it is published in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Boundaries of Dunedin City—The seaward boundaries of Dunedin City are extended to the mean low water springs.

  2. Application to existing boundaries—(1) Nothing in this notice has the effect of excluding from Dunedin City any area included in that city before this notice is in force.

(2) Without limiting the application of subclause (1) of this clause, the following areas remain in Dunedin City:

  • Blueskin Bay
  • Purakaunui Inlet
  • Otago Harbour
  • Papanui Inlet
  • Hoopers Inlet
  1. Wards—The areas included in Dunedin City by this notice are included in the adjacent ward of Dunedin City.

  2. Communities—The areas included in Dunedin City by this notice are included in the adjacent community of Dunedin City.

  3. Boundaries of adjacent territorial authority districts—Unless the circumstances otherwise require, wherever the boundaries of Dunedin City meet the boundary of another territorial authority district at the mean high water mark, the boundary of the district extends from that point along a line running at 90 degrees from the line of the mean high water mark to the point where the boundary meets the line of the mean low water springs.
