Medical Radiation Technologists (Fees) Notice 2005

Pursuant to section 130(1) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the following notice is given.

This notice amends the Medical Radiation Technologists (Fees) Notice 2004, dated the 30th day of July 2004 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 5 August 2004, page 2399, setting out the fees charged by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board under the Act.

The amendment is the addition of new categories of fees for applications:

  • by a registered medical radiation technologist to add a further scope of practice;
  • to register under the Trans-Tasman Recognition Act 1997;
  • for a training scope of practice;
  • for assessment of continuing professional development programmes;
  • for auditing of continuing professional development programmes at three-yearly intervals following approval;

otherwise the fees are as currently exist.\n
Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Medical Radiation Technologists (Fees) Notice 2005.

(2) This notice comes into force on 14 April 2005.

  1. Fees—The Medical Radiation Technologists Board prescribes the fees, payable to the board, specified in the attached Schedule.

  2. Tax—The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax.

Application to register under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 $315.00
Application for a practising certificate $210.00
Application by a registered medical radiation technologist to add a further scope of practice $170.00
Application for a training scope of practice $170.00
Application for assessment of a continuing professional development programme $350.00
Auditing of a continuing professional development programme (three years following approval) $1,200.00
An addition or alteration to the Register maintained by the board $100.00
Issue of any other certificate or a copy of any certificate $43.00
Supply to any medical radiation technologist of any documents required by him or her for the purpose of seeking registration overseas $100.00
Application for examination set or approved by the board $1,600.00
