Pursuant to section 164 of the Animal Products Act 1999,
notice is given of the issue on 30 November 2005 of the
Animal Products (Specifications for Products Intended for
Human Consumption) Amendment Notice (No. 4) 2005,
which comes into force on 1 February 2006.

Copies of the notice may be inspected or obtained at the
office of the New Zealand Food Safety Authority, South
Tower, 68-86 Jervois Quay (P.O. Box 2835), Wellington.

The notice under the Animal Products Act 1999 (Notice

Animal Welfare Act 1999

Issue of Animal Welfare (Painful Husbandry

Procedures) Code of Welfare 2005 (Notice No. 1488)

I hereby give notice that, under section 75 of the Animal
Welfare Act 1999, the Animal Welfare (Painful Husbandry
Procedures) Code of Welfare 2005 is issued and comes into
force on 23 December 2005.

This notice also serves to revoke the Animals Protection
(Docking of Tails) Regulations 1972 and the Animals
Protection (Docking of Tails) Regulations 1972, Amendment
No. 1.

The code of welfare is available for inspection free of
charge and for purchase at the following address:
