Change of the Purpose of Part of a Reserve

and Revocation of the Reservation Over Part
of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations
Manager for the Southland Conservancy of the Department
of Conservation changes the purpose of that part of
the reserve described in the First Schedule from a local
purpose reserve (public hall) to a local purpose reserve
(war memorial), and revokes the reservation over that part
of the reserve described in the Second Schedule with the
effect that the land becomes Crown land available for
disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Classification and Naming of Reserves

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations
Manager for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department
of Conservation classifies the reserves described in the
Schedules to this notice as scenic reserves for the purposes
specified in section 19 (1) (a) of the Act, and declares that
the scenic reserve in the First Schedule is to be known as the
Mataitai Scenic Reserve, the scenic reserve in the Second
Schedule is to be known as the Whakatiri Scenic Reserve
and the scenic reserve in the Third Schedule is to be known
as the Richard Sylvan Memorial Scenic Reserve.
