Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996
Determination of New Organisms
Pursuant to section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority hereby determines that the seven human medicines containing live organisms:
Varicella-zoster virus (human herpesvirus 3);
Rubella virus (RUBV);
Measles virus (MeV);
Mumps virus (MuV);
Mycobacterium bovis (Karlson and Lessel 1970);
Salmonella typhi (Schroeter 1886) Warren and Scott 1930; and
Yellow fever virus (YFV)
are not new organisms under section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996 (“the Act”).

Conservation Act 1987
Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes and Declaration That the Area Become a Reserve
Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator for the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule is held for conservation purposes and further declares that the conservation area be set apart as a reserve subject to the Reserves Act 1977 and classified as a recreation reserve, subject to the provision of the latter Act.

Disposal of Stewardship Area
Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Community Relations Manager of the West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation authorises the exchange of the conservation area described in the First Schedule for the land described in the Second Schedule and further specifies that the land in latter Schedule be held for conservation purposes.
