Rangitikei River upstream from the Matawhero Road Bridge (commonly called Mangaohane
Bridge) up to its confluence with the Ohinewaione Stream (9 river kilometres upstream
from the Springvale bridge).
5.4
There is no limit in all other waters.
LENGTH LIMITS
6.1
There is no minimum length limit for sports fish taken in the Wellington Fish and Game
Region.
6.2
No licence holder shall take or have in his or her possession any trout, which exceeds 550mm in
length in the following waters:
Rangitikei River and its tributaries upstream from the Matawhero Road Bridge (commonly
called the Mangaohane Bridge).
Hautapu River upstream from the road bridge numbered 741/10.96 on State Highway No. 1 by
the Taihape Golf Club.
Upper Kourarau Dam.
Waingawa River upstream from the Tararua Forest Park boundary.
Wainuiomata River downstream from the main township bridge.
6.3
No licence holder shall take or have in his or her possession any trout, which exceeds 450mm in
length in the following waters:
Makuri River upstream from the township bridge.
Manawatu River upstream from the Maunga Road Bridge (upstream of Dannevirke).
Pourangaki River.
Tokomaru River.
