3.2

The following waters and all their tributaries are restricted to flyfishing and spinner only:

Manawatu River upstream from the Maunga Road Bridge (upstream of Dannevirke).
Pourangaki River.
Rangitikei River and its tributaries upstream from the Matawhero Road Bridge (commonly
called the Mangaohane Bridge).
Tokomaru River.
Waingawa River.

3.3

Bait fishing is allowed in all other waters

COARSE FISHING WATERS

Lake Waitawa (Otaki)
Upper and Lower Whitby Lakes
Lake Wairarapa
Ruamahanga Cut-Off

DAILY BAG LIMITS

5.1

No licence holder shall take, kill or be in possession of more than 1 trout in the following
waters:

Akatarawa River.
Hautapu River upstream from the road bridge numbered 741/10.96 on State Highway No. 1 by
the Taihape Golf Club.
Mangaohane Stream.
Mangatarere Stream.
Makuri River.
Manawatu River upstream from its confluence with the Maunga Road Bridge (upstream of
Dannevirke).
Mangaroa River.
Pakuratahi Stream.
Pourangaki River.
Rangitikei River and its tributaries upstream of its confluence with the Ohinewaione Stream
(9 river kilometres upstream from the Springvale Bridge).
Tokomaru River.
Upper Kourarau Dam.
Waikanae River.
Wainuiomata River.
Whakatikei River.
All waters upstream from the boundaries of the Ruahine, Tararua and Rimutaka Forest Parks.

5.2

No licence holder shall take, kill or be in possession of more than 2 trout in the following
waters:

Hutt River.

5.3

No licence holder shall take, kill or be in possession of more than 4 trout in the following
waters:
