Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003
Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2004/3: Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act
1989 and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting of
Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand,
hereby makes the following bylaw.
Amendment
-
This amendment shall come into force 28 days after the
date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette. -
The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles
on State Highways) Bylaw 2004/3* is hereby amended by:
(a) Replacing line 543, in Schedule 3 of that bylaw to read:
“From RP 0/13.60 To RP 0/14.70.
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
From 80m south-east Munro Street to 140m west of
Rimu Street.
Speed Restriction (km/h):
50”
(b) Deleting line 544 in Schedule 3 of that bylaw which
refers to the section of State highway from RP 0/14.18 to
RP 0/14.68; and
(c) Replacing line 546, in Schedule 3 of that bylaw to read:
“From RP 34/22.24 To RP 57/0.93.
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
From 286m south Hamilton Street to 210m northwest of Alloway Street.
Speed Restriction (km/h):
50”
(d) Replacing line 547, in Schedule 3 of that bylaw to read:
“From RP 57/0.93 To RP 57/1.64.
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
From 210m north-west of Alloway Street to 110m
north-west of Opihi Street.
Speed Restriction (km/h):
80”
This bylaw was made by resolution passed at a meeting of
Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on the 24th day of
June 2005.
