Land Declared No Longer Required for Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 5A of the Education Lands Act 1949, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me, I, Derek Ballantine Devoy, Acting Group Manager Property, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

Notice

  1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.
  2. This notice shall come into force on 11 August 2005.

Local Government Act 2002

Local Government (Lower Hutt City) Boundary Alteration Notice 2005

Pursuant to clause 5(1) of Schedule 2 of the Local Government Act 2002, the Minister of Local Government gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Local Government (Lower Hutt City) Boundary Alteration Notice 2005.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after it is published in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Boundaries of Lower Hutt City—The area described in the Schedule to this notice is included in Lower Hutt City.

  2. Wards—The area included in Lower Hutt City by this notice is included in the Harbour Ward of Lower Hutt City.

  3. Communities—The area included in Lower Hutt City by this notice is included in the Petone Community of Lower Hutt City.

Schedule

All that area, being part Lot 3, DP 303948, situated within the Seaview Marina enclosed by the marina breakwaters and by a line extending from the southern point of the northern breakwater to the northern point of the southern breakwater.

New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946

Notice of the Decision of the Minister for Land Information on an Alteration of a Place Name

Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 March 2005, No. 45, page 1114, of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the altered name stated in the first column of the Schedule below to the respective place described in the second column of the said Schedule.

Objections were received to this proposed name and were dealt with pursuant to section 13 of the said Act.

Pursuant to section 15 of the said Act, I hereby notify that it is my decision that the name of this place shall be as referred to in the first column of the Schedule below and that this decision shall take effect on 4 September 2005.

Mount Parihaka

Hill at height 241m, just east of Whangarei. A beaconed trig station and lookout are located at the summit, Topographic Map 260-Q07, Pt R07 Whangarei, GR 316 089. Spelling correction from Mount Parahaki.
