Notification of Ordinary Rules
In accordance with section 34 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notice is hereby given that the Minister for Transport Safety signed the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rules on 2 August 2005, which will come into force on 1 January 2006:
Part 1—Definitions and Abbreviations, Amendment 29 (CAA Docket 4/CAR/10)
Part 108—Air Operator Security Programme, Amendment 4 (CAA Docket 4/CAR/10)
These ordinary rules are available for inspection at the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, 10 Hutt Road, Petone.

Land Transport Act 1998
Land Transport Rules—Notification of Ordinary Rules
Pursuant to section 161 (3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, notification is hereby given of the making of 13 Ordinary Rules that amend Land Transport Rules.
The following amendment Rules come into force on 15 September 2005:
Land Transport Rule:
- Frontal Impact Amendment 2005 (Rule 32006/2).
- Glazing, Windscreen Wipe and Wash, and Mirrors Amendment 2005 (Rule 32012/2);
- Heavy Vehicles Amendment 2005 (Rule 31002/1);
- Setting of Speed Limits Amendment 2005 (Rule 54001/1);
- Traffic Control Devices Amendment 2005 (Rule 54002/1);
- Tyres and Wheels Amendment 2005 (Rule 32013/1);
- Vehicle Lighting Amendment 2005 (Rule 32005/1);
- Vehicle Dimensions and Mass Amendment 2005 (Rule 41001/1);
- Land Transport (Road User) Amendment Rule 2005 (Rule 61001/1).
The following amendment Rules come into force on 1 April 2006:
Land Transport Rule:
- Passenger Service Vehicles Amendment 2005 (Rule 31001/1);
- Seatbelts and Seatbelt Anchorages Amendment 2005 (Rule 32011/1);
- Vehicle Equipment Amendment 2005 (Rule 32017/1);
- Vehicle Standards Compliance Amendment 2005 (Rule 35001/2).
These amendment Rules are available for inspection free of charge at the National Office of Land Transport New Zealand, 7-27 Waterloo Quay, Wellington, and for purchase from September 2005 at bookshops that sell legislation or direct from Wickliffe Limited, P.O. Box 932, Dunedin.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Transport Act 1962
Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2002/19:
Bylaw Prescribing Traffic Lane for Use by a Timetabled Public Passenger Service Vehicle in Auckland
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows.
Amendment

This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

In the Schedule after clause 3.4.2, insert:
3.4.3 Buses shall be permitted to use the bus lane on the southbound shoulder of the Auckland Northern Motorway section of State Highway No. 1:
(a) between Greville Road southbound on-ramp and the Esmonde Road Interchange on weekdays between 3.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.; and
(b) from a point approximately 150 metres south-east of the Shelly Beach Road Underpass to Fanshawe Street on weekdays between 3.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Board.
