Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the East Coast Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation as a Government purpose (health and disability sector and related purpose) reserve more particularly described as “in trust as an endowment for the Napier Hospital, pursuant to section 112 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act 1917” from the land described in the Schedule.

Classification of a Reserve and Appointment to Control and Manage the Reserve, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 17 February 2005, No. 39, page 1022, and issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Classification of a Reserve and Appointment to Control and Manage the Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a recreation reserve and appoints the Wellington Regional Council to control and manage the reserve for recreation purposes.

The appointment to control and manage the reserve is subject to the Minister being able to recover any rates from the council if such rates are levied and paid by the Crown.
