Notice of Amendment to Compliance Document for New Zealand Building Code and Where Material Incorporated by Reference is Available for Inspection and Purchase

Pursuant to section 24 (1) of the Building Act 2004, I give notice of an amendment to the compliance document for New Zealand Building Code Outbreak of Fire Clause C1, Means of Escape Clause C2, Spread of Fire Clause C3 and Structural Stability During Fire Clause C4.

The amendment comes into force on 1 October 2005.

The compliance document is available on the department’s web site at:

www.dbh.govt.nz

Pursuant to sections 406 (c) (ii) and 410 (1) (e) of the Building Act 2004, I give notice that the material incorporated by reference in compliance document C/AS1 in column 1 is replaced by the material in column 2:

NZS 4512: 1997 NZS 4512: 2003
NZS 4515: 1995 NZS 4515: 2003
NZS 4541: 1996 NZS 4541: 2003

and copies of the material incorporated by reference are available for inspection during working hours, free of charge, or may be purchased at the national office of the Department of Building and Housing, Level Eleven, Greenock House, 39 The Terrace, Wellington.

Amendment of Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Greenmeadows Intermediate School (1300)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 4 November 2004, page 3584, regarding the appointment of a limited statutory manager for the Greenmeadows Intermediate School Board of Trustees because of risk both to the operation of the school and to the educational performance of the students at the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in the limited statutory manager:

  • All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise), including employment powers in relation to the Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) Manurewa Cluster.

The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

  • Student achievement; and
  • curriculum planning and delivery.

In relation to the Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) Manurewa Cluster, of which the board
