(Notice No. 1399)

I hereby give notice that, pursuant to section 91 of the
Animal Welfare Act 1999, I have approved, for the period
1 January 2005 to 31 December 2009, the code of ethical
conduct submitted to me by Nelson Marlborough Institute of
Technology.

Electricity Act 1992

Notice of Disciplinary Action Taken by the
Electrical Workers Registration Board

The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board
(“the board”), having been directed by the board, in
accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992
(“the Act”), gives notice of the following registered
electrical worker having been disciplined by the board,
under Part 11 of the Act, and the effect of the order of the
board under section 127 of the Act:

Malcolm Leonard Boal, of Christchurch, registration
LM 466, has been found guilty of a disciplinary
offence. The board ordered, pursuant to section
127 (2) (g) of the Act, that Malcolm Leonard Boal
pay to the board a fine of two thousand two hundred
and fifty dollars ($2,250.00). The fine was to be paid
by 25 November 2004.

Notice of Disciplinary Action Taken by the
Electrical Workers Registration Board

The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board
(“the board”), having been directed by the board, in
accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992
(“the Act”), gives notice of the following registered
electrical worker having been disciplined by the board,
under Part 11 of the Act, and the effect of the order of the
board under section 127 of the Act:

Evan Raymond Butt, of Christchurch, registration
LM 985, has been found guilty of a disciplinary
offence. The board ordered, pursuant to section
127 (2) (c) (ii) of the Act, the registration of Evan
Raymond Butt is suspended until Evan Raymond Butt
passes the line mechanic’s written exam. In
accordance with section 130 of the Act, the suspension
took effect on 10 November 2004.\n
While the suspension remains in force, Evan Raymond
Butt shall be deemed for the purposes of Parts 10 and
14 of the Act not to be registered and so is not
authorised to carry out prescribed electrical work as
a line mechanic.

In addition, pursuant to section 127 (3) of the Act, Evan
Raymond Butt was ordered to pay a fine of one
thousand dollars ($1,000.00). The fine was to be paid
by 22 December 2004.

Simon John Coulam, of Auckland, registration
E 18061, has been found guilty of a disciplinary
offence. The board ordered, pursuant to section
127 (2) (d) of the Act, that the registration of Simon
John Coulam be restricted for 12 months from
4 December 2004.
