Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998
Notice of Temporary Exemption—David Henderson and Related Companies
The Commission, pursuant to section 81 of the Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998 (“the EIR Act”), exempts the following entities (cross-involved entities) from the application of section 17 of the EIR Act in respect of their current “cross-involvement” (as that term is defined in the EIR Act):
- P W Services Limited;
- Electricity Direct Limited;
- Princes Wharf Management Limited;
- Piermont Corporation Limited;
- Wairangi Investment Limited;
- Wairangi Holdings Limited;
- David Stewart Henderson;
- Anthony Clive Sandlant.
The exemption applies from the date of publication until:
- a permanent exemption takes effect, if the Commission approves the permanent exemption under Part A of the David Henderson and related companies exemption application; or
- three months after the date of the release of the Commission’s determination, if the Commission declines a permanent exemption.
The Commission may vary or revoke this exemption at any time in accordance with section 81 (5) of the EIR Act.
The exemption takes effect from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Transport Act 1962
Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2003/7: Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 1 and 2
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows.
A m e n d m e n t
- This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
- In the Second Schedule, after Clause 11 insert:
“The section of State Highway No. 10 at Kerikeri in Far North District commencing at a point 970 metres generally south of the intersection with Kerikeri Road and extending in a generally northerly direction to a point 1080 metres generally north of the intersection with Kerikeri Road (Route Position 0/13.22 to Route Position 0/15.27); a distance of 2.05 kilometres.”
This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Board.

Civil Aviation Act 1990
Civil Aviation Rules
In accordance with section 34 (1) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice of his intention to make ordinary rules in the following Civil Aviation Rule Part:
Part 67—Medical Standards and Certification, a rewrite of Part 67 including the medical standards and certification of pilots and air traffic controllers, the certification and operating requirements of medical examiners, and procedures relating to the convener.
This is a re-issue of the Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) issued for public consultation on 10 July 2003. A summary of submissions on the initial NPRM is also available.
Comments on the proposed rule should be submitted to the Ministry of Transport by 8 October 2004.
