It is intended to use the land described in the Schedule to
form part of State Highway No. 2 as part of the construction
of the Mangatawhiri Bypass.
The intended taking is considered necessary to reduce the
high accident rate in this region of the highway.
The proposed land use is in accordance with the designation
under the district plan.
The owner of the land and those persons with a registered
interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s
intention to take the land and advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send
a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court,
Level Eight, District Court Building, Wellesley Street
(P.O. Box 7147), Auckland, within 20 working days after
the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing will be heard with the right of the
objector to appear and be heard personally, unless the objector
otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of
the time and place of the hearing.

Amending a Notice for Land to be Set Apart for Another Government Work

Pursuant to section 52 (1) (d) of the Public Works Act 1981,
and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information,
Trevor Knowles, Land Information New Zealand, hereby
amends the notice dated the 6th day of May 2004, setting
apart land for another government work and published
in New Zealand Gazette, 13 May 2004, No. 52, page 1296,
by deleting the following "subject to" easement from the
Schedule.

to that effect having been entered into, the land described in
the First Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for road
and is vested in the Whangarei District Council on the date
of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to section 20, declares that, an agreement
to that effect having been entered into, the land described in
the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for
road, saving and excepting all minerals which shall remain
vested in Her Majesty the Queen, and is vested in the
Whangarei District Council on the date of publication of this
notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

connection with a road and is vested in the Whangarei

to that effect having been entered into, the land described
in the Fourth Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired in
connection with a road, saving and excepting all minerals
which shall remain vested in Her Majesty the Queen, and
